HAPPY NEW YEAR-2012

Before I head out tonight- last night of 2011. I'd like to wish everyone and their loved ones a Happy New YEAR. May you all get to see a better year and be bless. This last night I won't make any resolutions (althought I pray and wish for certain things) but I'll keep all to myself. I would like to thank GOD for blessing me with my family, good friends even associates in my life. My good health, my job in this shitty economy. And last but not least I am grateful for the things I've already accomplished :-) and I am so ready to take whatever risks there is to accomplish more. .....I would also like to thank the people that stopped by in past couple of 3 years on my blogs-thank you for even trying to be nosy. Your luv is truly appreciated. God bless you all and let's make 2012 a better year all.

Christmas shopping?

So I think I'm the only one on this planet that haven't done her Christmas shopping yet. Not that I have a list with 10 people on it.

I already got my parents and siblings which are more important-got them out the way.

Now I have two of my favorite co-workers, my friend from Cali and maybe my "boss" that's if I have any larjan left after I got the co-workers and my friend from Cali lol. She better be praying haaa haa!

I will be doing my own Christmas shopping after the holidays, as a matter of fact since I'm taking the 9th off to take my dad to the airport I think I'll just take the advantage of doing my shopping then. I can wait.

My home-made hair and body butter

Hey world,
How is everyone doing?
Hope you all are having a fantastic Saturday.
Ok this is somewhat of a review of the products I have for my natural hair. I should've done that a long time ago but since I'm not lazy anymore so here I am-why not?
By the way I use other things to conditioned and moisturerized my hair but this is mainly a review on my home-made hair and body butter I decided to make after I read and viewed some very educational videos on YouTube on to maintain soft naturals.
The first picture is a picture of organic coconut oil. Now the second picture is the pure African Shea butter. You can use both for either your hair or skin. I use both for my hair and body-it keeps the hair soft and moisturized even though I have other source of moisturizers for my hair.
I actually had this "review" as my status yesterday and a lot of my friends wanted to know how i made it, so I wrote somewhat a novel lol.
.....so here I am posting it for the world to read on about my hair and body butter that I made in my own kitchen :-) yep all natural.
"The stuff that I got to make it was pure organic coconut oil, African Shea butter (yes the real one because there is a big difference in the smell although they look the same), jojoba oil, extra virgin olive oil (a teaspoon but again it all depends on how much you're planning on making). I also add two drops of my pure Moroccan oil because I love it and it does wonders for my hair. Just heat up the coconut oil for about 10 seconds not too hot but just enough for it to softens up a little then you mixed the coconut oil and Shea butter and use an egg beater. After That's when you put the oils in after and beat it up again then put it in your container and freeze it up for about two hrs. *it's going to have an odor to some that might be an unpleasant smell but I don't mind it, it's not bad it's just doesn't smell great. But if the smell bothers you that much jut add maybe two drops of one of the essential oils (peppermint, Rosemary) or whatever you want".

Lady Like By Amber Ojeda produced by Shammy Dee

Hello again world! Hope everyone is having a fantastic Saturday night. I am by being home and relaxing and trying to maintain sane. Now my friends and associates that haven't heard from me please don't take anything personal. It's not you, you haven't done anything wrong. I need some space and time for myself. Lately I've been under a lot of stress, I know some may think what stress? I don't have kids, a house or any major responsibilities BUT that means NOTHING! Just because I don't have little brats to take care of or any other major responsibilities does NOT mean anything. I am a grown ass woman with other responsibilities too-DAMN! School to deal with, assholes at work, personal home issues, and so on and so forth. Most importantly GOALS that must be achieved. The problem is good things takes too long to happened-well with me that is. DISCLAIMER: punishment has nothing to do with harming myself or others (NOT THAT TYPE SO GET IT RIGHT!) SO what I'm doing is putting myself under somewhat a "Val's personal punishment"-don't think ya'll need to know what the punishment is. I promise once I've accomplished something I'll share that with you all :-) Thank you for trying to understand at least. For the judgemental asses-go ahead and do ya job :-) I know some may think what does this song "Ladylike" have to do with my post? well that's the modd I'm in-Neo Soul all day babii :-) Link

My first black Friday experience :-)

Look at the picture on your left, what do you see? You see a green hard shell super durable expensive looking luggage right? Well the green-super durable part is right, now the expensive part-nope! This luggage I actually got yesterday (black friday-which I was one of the fools that participated). I actually got this at Marshall's at the Atlantic Center mall. My first store I visited yesterday was Marshall's (which was a crazy mess with reckless shoppers). I looked around a bit and BAMMM! there goes the luggage department. I needed a new luggage so why not? This is an Izode, hard shell. The regular price online is from $99-$250 but you won't believe how much I got it for-$69.99 with tax $76 something. Now you know that was a great deal. Not only it's a good brand but got it at an affordable price and at my favorite color- #SCORE lol. Now for the people that knows me they know I am very frugal. I will not spend $100 on a belt, not even a pair of jeans or shoes. I know some might think people should buy good shoes and spending close to it is not bad but why spend that much when I can get for less same brand elsewhere? I also got some other things too on sale. I went to Target which was a bigger mess because there were a few customers fighting over damn shopping carts-grown ass folks. Burlington Coat was another place I shopped at. It was a good first black friday for me-all that mattered to me was I didn't have to be up super early like some people but still got a few items at a great price-satisfied. What are you thankful for?

I know I might be a little late to even put this post up but whatever it's only 5 mins to midnight-does it matter at the end of the day? ummmmm... This thanksgiving me and the family didn't do much. My sister worked and everyone else did their own thing. It was no big deal for us-another thanksgiving which we celebrate it everyday just by being around each other. I am very thankful for the family I have althought we have our own issues-who doesn't? I am thankful for my health and their health. I am thankful for my job, after all in this economy :-) I am thankful for my friends and some associates I have. I AM ALSO THANKFUL THAT GOD MADE ME REALIZED I MUST WATCH OUT FOR SOME PEOPLE AND HELPING BY GETTING RID OF THEM :-) Now I would like to know what are you thankful for? feel free to comment anonymously or if you're a blogger go ahead and share with me. Thank you for stopping by. Link

Nose ring is finally healed-thanks Neosporin!

Sometime ago maybe about two months now, before my LA trip back in August I think , I decided to get the nose pierced-OUCH for a few seconds. Honestly it's something I never thought of doing-ever! But for some reason I just went ahead and got it done-nope I wasn't drunk or anything. For some reason I thought "It's very sexy and I have the perfect nose for a ring". When I first entered the tattoo/piercing shop (one of the shops on St. Marks) I was so nervous but I made it inside anyway. It wasn't that bad how I expected it to be. It was very painful when the needle was being pushed in and as soon as it entered the nose I teared on that side-whew! It bled a little on that side and my piercer gave me some "cleaning advice" on how to take care of it. Now during the healing process I'm not sure what I did wrong but I woke up one day and discovered a bump, a pump is a minor keloid. Now the bump is somewhat a sign of infection and if it doesn't get taken care of it'll get worst. It didn't freak me out because my other unusual piercings I had bumps and they went away a couple of days later. This pump made me more self-conscious of my face and of course how others will look at me-after all it's a bump somewhere on the face-ewww! One of my co-workers (obviously had that issue) told me to use Neosporin. Thank God for Neosporin or else not sure what I'd do. I'm pretty sure the bump would've gone away after a couple of days or maybe week but the Neosporin got rid of it quicker and took the infection away. OMG it looked so funny like I was growimg a little nose on top of my left nose haaaa! ewww! Thanks to Miss Cano for recommending Neosporin, it all went away and my piercing is all nice and cute and ready to change the ring-thinking of a white gold diamond stud :-) Something small and simple-wouldn't want to look like those typical Baquisha LOL

Before you leave I have a link on the bottom on nos piercing-check it out please if you're thinking of getting your nose pierced.

Hope that was helpful.

06. Neon Lights - Natasha Bedingfield - Strip Me

I actually volunteered at one of her concerts at Irving over the spring-she's awesome! Now I'm sure I'm not the only one that has heard of her-she's one of my favorites besides Adele and a few others. I love this song omg! For some reason I always play this song first on my phone when I'm on the train-anywhere on a public transportation. enjoy!

Washington, D.C. assesses earthquake damage

WASHINGTON DC EARTHQUAKE FELT THROUGHOUT NYC, VA AND OTHER AREAS ON THE EAST COAST. Now who would thought "Earthquake in NYC?" Yes it happpened on August 23rd. I didn't know there was even an earthquake until some of the people in the building I work in kept asking if I felt the earthquake-my mouth literally dropped, I felt NOTHING! I'm pretty sure because I work on the first floor and they're upstairs past 5th floor. Below is a picture of how the earthquake did its damages. Also below is a video on the earthquake. Here are some of the damages from the DC 2011 earthquake.
"Preliminary reports are indicating that a 5.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Virginia at 1:51 pm EDT., according to the USGS. Shaking has been reported as far north as New York. Reports of shaking have also been coming in from the New England area. According to the USGS, a magnitude 5.5 Eastern US earthquake can typically be felt as far as 300 miles away. The USGS reported that epicenter of the quake was located in Louisa, Va. just southeast of Charlottesville and northwest of Richmond. The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake was half a mile deep. Shaking was felt at the White House and all over the East Coast, as far south as Chapel Hill, N.C. Parts of the Pentagon, White House and Capitol were evacuated. There were no immediate reports of injuries."

Absolut San Francisco

Sometime last week I went to somewhat my nearest Wine & Spirit store to get one specific bottle for a friend (Absolute Brooklyn), now the saleswoman came out with Absolut San Fran I told her "Absolute BK" but then I took a closer look and asked her to come closer-yeah I did. I asked her "Ma'am is that San Francisco?" she said it was. I asked of course for the price and thank God it was no more than $20. So not only I got my friend's bottle but got my Absolut San Francisco :-) I came out happy haaaaa! ...for some reason I felt like I needed to get it not only because it's something I've never tried before but an "outsider drink" in my city-why not? I also feel some type of connection which I guess because I've been to SF before and fell in love with the city. I am glad I got it.

You can enjoy it with either OJ or just over ice because it's already flavored.

Absolut Creates San Francisco Vodka-YUMM!

"Just in time for San Francisco Gay Pride, Absolut Vodka has introduced a "limited" SF edition. Following on the heels of New Orleans, Loas Angeles, Boston, and (oddly enough) Brooklyn flavors, San Francisco is the fifth city to receive the company's boozy bottle honor. But does it taste good? Normally, flavored vodka taste like corn syrup-tinged diarrhea. (Some might say the same about plain vodka, but those types are usually pretentious mixologists. You need to ignore those people.) In an effort to review the allegedly hella-SF booze, we demanded a PR representative to deliver a free bottle of Absolut SF to our front door posthaste for immediate tasting. Well, not really. But close. And since we couldn't personally judge the stuff for review, because it was sent pro bono, we asked two dear friends / target audience subjects, a male homosexual and a super-cool bartender who prays at the bourbon altar, for their opinions. After sipping Absolut SF over ice, our gay pal said, "Hmm, not bad. But you know me. I'll drink anything." Our bartender friend, after sniffing and then taking a conservative pull form the bottle, revealed, "Hmm, not as bad as I thought it would be. Even kinda OK, I guess. I don't know." You hear that? "Even kinda OK." As for your SFist editor? Sure, we liked it. As with most people, we enjoy clear things that make us woozy. It's flavored with grape, dragon fruit and papaya, which, according to Alcademics, "were selected to represent the city by paying tribute to the Wine Country, and Asian and Latin cultures." A bottle runs $20 (which isn't bad at all)

Satisfaction

It's about 11:54am here. As I'm writing this I'm actually in the lobby where I work at. I decided to take my break that early.

I'm here with a book in front of me and people watching-I love to people watch. You see the miserable ones who worked hard by being here, maybe the CEO in their company. Some I'm sure sacrificed a lot to be here and have a decent career but still not happy with their lives-sad isn't it? I can also spot the interns who are excited and feel to be here but little do they know when they actually stay for good they're going to be miserable like the ones I mentioned above. I spot the delivery guys, the flower crew who comes every month to change the flowers in our little "garden" area. I see them all-in all actuality not everyone is happy and satisfy with their lives. You first get your dream career/job of course you're going to feel blessed and some do feel blessed to still have a good job that has great benefits, perks and more in this shitty economy where people are getting laid-off from left to right-well I'm one of those people.

I've been with one of the prestigious company that's known all over the world for a very long time-it is just a "job" but then again what the company offers-not just any "jobs" offers. That I'm grateful for.

Sometimes I can be ungrateful-thanks to some of the different characters I have to deal with on a regular ---> {sarcasm attached} I love my job and what it has to offer. This job requires you to be a people person and I guess cause I'm a people person might be one of the reasons I love it.

What I'm saying is not everyone is happy/grateful with what they have/achieved. We all live different lifestyles but as human beings we can never be satirist with the things we're blessed with.

Closure

It's Wednesday already-whew! Am I the only one that believes that time is flying? This year is going so fast and I wonder what's in store for me this fall. Well I kinda know but not sure.

A lot is going on-well no that's a lie. I meant I have a lot on my mind.

Question: Have you ever been in a situation where even though things seemed to turned out ok but deep down inside it's really not? You actually want to have a seat with the person face to face and bring the problem/situation up and put it down on the table?

The best feeling EVER is to clear things out and have that lift off of your shoulders....

.... I want that so bad right now.... I do forgive but I'll be better once the matter is discussed and both of us come to an understanding you know.

Life *sigh*

My DC Trip-too bad no pics now

......so I've decided to catch up on my blog today and why not do it at a good time other than today-after all I'm off...nothing to actually do..why not? ..wait this blog (the last time I updated it it was supposed to be a "random" one right?) I recently went to DC, to get away from my usual NY life. I surely went alone like I did when I went to SF last spring. It was somewhat a solo trip that really enjoyed. ....like I always say and believe sometimes you don't need a group of friends/people to have a good time-I believe it all depends on the person that you are-which I am very responsible, mature, smart, independent so I was good. I actualy took a couple of pictures and I was trying to upload here but somehow it wouldn't work-sucks! I guess I'll have to try it another time. I had an amazing time. I visited the Smithsonian, the Monumet and The White House (which I couldn't get too close), next time I'll have to book a tour to visit the inside. I really had a great time. Believe it or not I love museums :-) I'd really like to get away again...which I'm planning on. It's always good to get away once in a while you know. yeah...... Link

I can already smell a great summer :-)

Hello world!

How are you all doing? I need to frequent here more to save my sanity lol....

I'm actually up to catch up one this blog and my movie blog as well :-)

.... Wait am I the only one that feels like it's going to be a great summer? Yeah me... It's going to be an eventful one.. Not only I'll be going places also I won't have to break the banks Haaaaa! I'm serious :-)

So my mom is enjoying her time back home on vacation visiting family and friends. I miss her dearly :-( gosh I can't think about this right now. That's my love.

I'm glad she left because she needed to get away and visit family and friends but also it's going to be a crazy summer-the heat isn't good for her.

I know y'all probably think it's hotter over there-it may be but there's no humidity, cool breeze with the sun. It's like spring over there.

I know for sure it's going to be a productive, eventful summer and lord I am ready!

Until next time world *kisses*

Royal wedding-Am I the only one that doesn't care? but good luck to both of you!

....Am I the only pone that doesn't care about the Prince's wedding onm Friday?
I honestly don't care about such things. So what two people are getting married..I don't know them...it won't change anything for me! *shrugs*
Some folks are making a big deal about it smh!
..but for the ones that missed it (which I'm sure you haven't-enjoy)
" NEW YORK — Nearly 23 million Americans rose early on Friday to watch Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot. The Nielsen Co. said the 22.76 million viewers were spread out over 11 different networks. The company's measurement was for the period of 6 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. EDT, when the ceremony was taking place.
Nielsen did not have an estimate of how many people watched worldwide. Websites reported high traffic, too. ABCNews.com said it's online traffic Friday was its highest since the 2008 presidential election. And, E! Online said its 23.6 million page views on Friday was its most ever.
The wedding was telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC, Telemundo, Univision, BBC America, CNN, E! Entertainment, Fox News Channel, MSNBC and TLC."

CONGRATULATIONS MARIAH AND NICK!

I'd like to take the time out to wish Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon a wonderful blessing on their new born. Yes they made it, she delivered twins-a baby girl and a baby boy-congrats to both of you.
"NEW YORK - Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated their third anniversary with another milestone — becoming parents to a baby girl and boy.
Carey's representative, Cindi Berger, confirmed the births to The Associated Press. The singing superstar gave birth Saturday at 12:07 p.m. EDT at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles. Berger says the baby girl was born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches.
Berger says the couple has not named the children yet. Cannon drove Carey to the hospital in their Rolls-Royce Phantom. Berger said the 41-year-old Carey, who had gone through false labor, was calm, thinking that it was another false alarm.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old Cannon was so nervous he went to the wrong department at the hospital, and was guided to the maternity ward by a nurse. "It was like right out of an 'I Love Lucy' skit," said Berger. Berger says they were listening to Carey's "We Belong Together" after the children were born. The couple are expected to renew their wedding vows on Sunday. The pair got married in 2007 after a whirlwind romance. They were the subject of endless baby rumors, and the couple actually were expecting shortly after their marriage, but Carey had a miscarriage; they did not reveal the miscarriage until she announced her pregnancy last fall. The couple plan to live a bi-coastal life, and have luxurious nurseries in both New York and Los Angeles.
As far as more children, Carey recently declared she's done.

Cabbie Agrees To Drive 2 New Yorkers From LaGuardia Airport To Los Angeles

I find this story to be interesting-that's something I would definitely try. Very adventurous.
NEW YORK (1010 WINS)
"— Just a month after an undercover investigation showed taxi drivers refusing fares headed to the outer boroughs, one New York City cabbie agreed to drive his passengers across the country — to Los Angeles.
John Belitsky, the son of a former NYC cab driver, and his friend Dan Wuebben decided to try something they thought "would be a lot of fun."
"I put the idea to my father, who was a former New York City cabbie, and he told me he didn't think I could pull it off," Belitsky told 1010 WINS' Justin Schrager Thursday afternoon. "So I became really focused on pulling it off, and we did. We did in short order, as well." The two men traveled to LaGuardia Airport and inquired about having a cabbie drive them to Los Angeles in exchange for $5,000. Belitsky's father thought nobody would take the deal, but he turned out to be wrong.
Belitsky said driver Mohammed Alam first suggested he take a flight before stepping up and deciding "he would do it."
Belitsky, Alam and Wuebben were approximately 400 miles from Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon and expected to complete their journey before Friday morning. The men embarked on the cross-country trip around 11 p.m. Saturday night. So how is the cabbie holding up after so much driving? Alam told 1010 WINS he simply likes to drive.
"Nothing bothering for me. Little tired, I feel good. No problem at all," he said. As they moved ever closer to their destination, Belitsky said they had been able to take in the beautiful sites and scenes of the country, which included a stop at the Grand Canyon.
"That was inexplicably beautiful and mysterious and incredible," he said. Alam also called his experience at the Grand Canyon "really beautiful and great." He is also hoping to visit Universal Studios and many other sites in Los Angeles.
"I'm from Bangladesh. When I was young, it was my dream — one day I will go to Universal Studios," Alam said. Belitsky said that he didn't spend a lot of time planning on how to go about his goal, but "became really focused on pulling it off" after his father expressed doubts.
"It was just a really, kind of beautifully strange thing. So we did it. I really don't think it's that crazy either," he said. Friends have called and emailed Belitsky, expressing that they thought his journey was crazy and outlandish.
"A week of my life if I wanted to go on a vacation on a Carnival cruise ride, I'd be sitting on a ship in a floating prison having no fun at all," Belitsky joked. When asked what his favorite part of the entire trip has been, Belitsky cited "people's reactions." "You'll go inside to a gas station and the place will just erupt when they see this cab," he said. Belitsky is still unsure of his plans once he gets to California. Cab Driver Alam plans to meet up with a friend from Queens who flew to Los Angeles and will drive back to New York City with him.
As for Alam's message for his fellow cab drivers? "Nothing is impossible in this world. We can do everything whatever we want," he said. "

Fake rapper on the A train 4/22

I finally created a YouTube account-why? because of Mr. Rapper here. I never cared to have an account ..but then again I like to record funny moments and take weird pictures of others so why not right? We all know how crazy the public transportation can be let alone some of the passengers-I think at the end of the day some can make your day better and some worst.... Now the A, C and the E train always have something crazy going on-especially the A and the C. t's either bumms acting crazy, little hoodlums, or just plain crazy ass people. This time I got one. I caught this "rapper" showing his "talent" on the A line last night/early this morning. This is very funny. Hope you enjoy this :-)

Some things I'd like to know...Can someone please help me!

This post may not be a positive one and maybe not what some of you might expect but whatever!

This is a post to the greedy-nasty-gossip-hunger-hatin'-no life losers that have nothing better to do with their patethic life..you know the ones that rather gossip about other people's business rather taking c are of their child...their fucked-up homes....yeah those!

I can never understand why some females hate on each other, ESPECIALLY (yes I'll say it) the black females?!

They either don't like the person because they have nothing going for themselves or want to have the person's life..they even hate because they're just plain stupid!

One thing I can't stand, is someone who likes drama and their life is all about that. Come on people if that's all you're all about then...
God don't like ugly (it's so cliche at the same time so fucking true)
I can't stand the negative folks around me, it's too bad I have to be around them-the fake Christians, fake ass people who pretend to care about you but ain't worth shit!
I rather have few REAL friends than a lot of faux "friends".
I'm done venting now! :-)

Mmmmmmm! Jillian

As you all already know ( well not all-but now ya'll do) that I adore Ms. Michaels. she is a professional trainer, a celebrity trainer to put it. I adore her to the point I tried applying for "Losing It With Jillian" and "The Biggest Loser" but too bad I was not qualified. I didn't care about the fact that they want a certain "type" to be on the show and I didn't "fit" that "category", but I applied with the mindset hey I'll be around Jillian and she's going to work me hard haaa haa! #dontjudeme Like come on look at the body-the strong arms...the abs..thighs...Mmmmmmmmmmm! I wouldn't mind a body like that...only if she'd willing to work with me.
Some may think I'm a stalker or obsessed but I don't think I am at all. i'm sure some of you have a favorite celebrity out there haaa haaa.....
...in the meantime enjoy her sexiness!

Come on Mariah...WHY?

Ok I love you Mariah but come on sweetheart-What's up with the painted belly? We all know there's nothing wrong with showing off your bump and be all proud but come on now. I don't think it's appropriate for a married woman to show off her pregnant belly out like that. Personally I don't like it, I think it's very inappropriate. Pregnancy is a beautiful process the women body goes through and it's a blessing. For people to treat their body such way while they have a life growing inside them is not OK with me. I'm sure some of you might think I'm weird, or it's none of my business but this is my place to vent however, whenever I want to-so give my opinions on things.

SunDrop Dancing Commercial-REALLY?

Is it me or do any of you think this commercial to be very annoying? I don't know why but the first time I watched it I thought to myself "WTF are they trying to do?" I don't get it really. Not only she looks crazy with that outfit but because the beverage call "SunDrop" so they feel they have to play the song and make her act like a fool? lol I don't like this commercial at all!! and I don't think it's funny at all. Happy Tuesday world!

First I'd like to thank my loves who usually come here to visit me and even though you don't leave a comment it's all good just your presence is appreciated (you know who you are)-thank you!

So my dad went on a mini vaca to visit family and friends back home-thank god for that :-)
Do I miss him? Yes. Am I happy he left for a while? Yes of course to that:-) not only he needs the get-away but he was stressing everyone around him. He did enough damaged to us lol. But I miss him though. He's my father and he's a good dad if course.

Second thing is I thought I wasn't going on a vacation this year but the way things are going maybe after all I might be able to.
We'll see about that-I can confirmed by April or so.
I just have to make sure I'm on my grinds you know.

Hope everyone had a good valentines day-even if you don't have a boo nut god is your boo and believe me he's more important than anyone else.
